Pascal Fellonneau is a French photographer based in Paris. In 2005, he traveled to Akureyri: a town in northern Iceland located approximately 100 kilometers south of the polar circle. The outcome of the trip was Cold Cold Ground, a clean, technical photo essay comprised of snowy landscapes that depict isolation. Interestingly, there’s a real sense of resolve in the photographs as they demonstrate a will to exist in an environment that is almost inhospitable.
